Meet GENERATION (RED)
(RED) was born in 2006. This year marks our 20th birthday—and a pivotal moment in the fight against AIDS.
GENERATION (RED) is a narrative series highlighting the voices of a new generation whose lives have been shaped, directly or indirectly, by (RED)’s impact over the past two decades. This series reflects the history of what’s come before and the promise of what’s now within reach: the end of AIDS.
Theses stories take many forms: a young man who is HIV-free because his mother had access to treatment during pregnancy; a young woman born with HIV who is now healthy because she received early testing and treatment; a health worker inspired by community members lost to AIDS; a creative, activist, or partner using their platform to expand access, equity, and awareness.
Throughout 2026, new stories will roll out across digital platforms, immersive experiences, and physical exhibitions. As it unfolds, GENERATION (RED) will connect our 20th birthday year and beyond while honoring the progress behind us and spotlighting the people and partners shaping what comes next.
