Fight AIDS From the Sky with AirAsia’s INSPI(RED) Burger

July 15, 2019
Partnership

AirAsia and Santan have teamed up with (RED) to create the INSPI(RED) Burger—a mouth-watering, AIDS-fighting, inflight meal crafted by none other than (RED) Chef Ambassador Hong Thaimee. 10% of every INSPI(RED) Burger sold will go directly to the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS testing, counseling, treatment, and prevention programs in the Asean region. So when you choose to EAT (RED) on your next AirAsia flight, you’ll be fighting AIDS from thousands of feet in the air.

As a Thai chef based in New York, Hong decided to combine the best of both worlds—Thai flavors and the classic all-American burger—to make this truly unique dish for AirAsia passengers. The INSPI(RED) Burger features a chicken patty infused with fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves, and lemongrass, topped with zest and nam prik noom (green chili mayonnaise), shredded purple cabbage and tomato on a red beetroot bun–and yes, the bun is actually red.
