WHAT IS #86AIDS?
"86, in the restaurant world, means 'We’re done. We don’t have any more of that.’ And that’s what we want to do with AIDS. We need to 86 AIDS."
—Chef Elizabeth Falkner
MAJOR MOMENTS FROM EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES 2018
LOVE FOOD AND FESTIVALS? WE DO TOO.
This year marked the second annual (RED) Supper at Bonnaroo music festival. 200 food and music lovers attended this delicious three-course dinner created by legendary Nashville chef, Margot McCormack, with Josh Cellars wine pairings, with 100% of ticket price going to fight AIDS.
SECRET SUPPERS WITH PLACEINVADERS
For the very first time, (RED) teamed-up with PlaceInvaders for a series of intimate pop-up dining events in New York and Los Angeles. Hosted in unexpected locations, the meals were created by chefs including Angie Mar and Patti Jackson, Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson, Mei Lin and Jessica Koslow. With pairings including (BELVEDERE)RED cocktails and Josh Cellars wine varietals, these truly were events to remember, with $18 from every ticket sold going to fight AIDS.
OTHER WAYS WE FOUGHT AIDS WITH FOOD
BringING mindful eating to the table with Calm
In honor of EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES, Calm launched 3 in-app integrations that fight AIDS including a Mindful Eating Masterclass. For each of the first 50,000 listens, Calm donated enough to provide a day's worth of life-saving HIV medication.
A LITTLE DOUGH CAN HAVE A LOT OF IMPACT
For the second year in a row, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza brought back the (RED)VINE Pizza at more than 260 of its locations across the U.S. In collaboration with Coca-Cola, Blaze donated $1 for every order of a (RED)VINE pizza and a Coke. That’s enough to provide 5 days of life-saving medication.
